Mary Shustack shops around

What a doll

So, actress Eva Longoria got married to basketball star Tony Parker this past weekend.

Apparently it was a celebrity-studded event in France.

And I bet the happy couple got some pretty fancy gifts.

Wonder if anyone shopping for them considered these:

Yes, there are now “Desperate Housewives” dolls named Lynette (from left, top photo first), Edie, Gabrielle, Susan and Bree.

Longoria, of course, plays Gabrielle.

These “miniature recreations of the ladies of Wisteria Lane” are being touted as the next collectible.

I’m not an avid viewer of the show, so perhaps not the best judge of this — but hasn’t the show faded from the height of its popularity?

But then again, they are creations from the famed “Madame Alexander Company”:http://madamealexander.com, so collectors may indeed scoop them up.

The 16-inch dolls, available in North America only, are to sell for $129.95 each. Right now, they’re being sold exclusively through “FAO Schwarz”:http://fao.com.

So, what do you think — who’s going to be buying these?
