Mary Shustack shops around

Sprucing up the home

I often write about home-and-design topics for The Journal News but last week, I had the chance to do a “TV-only” piece, part of our collaboration with RNN.

I visited with Pari Janati, who owns the Kashan Rug Gallery in Nyack.

She’s been in the Oriental-rug business for some 20 years; her family has been in it for 200.

I learned a lot — and hope to make it back there to do a more in-depth story one day.
