On my shopping list?

September

I never thought I’d take a second look at one of these things but…

See, my friend and I went out to dinner last night. Both of us, no surprise, were carrying pretty big bags.

Well, it was a casual restaurant here in White Plains and as we sat down, I went to put my bag under the table.

She was like “Wait, I have this thing” — and pulled out one of those gadgets I had only seen in those weird little catalogs.

She laughed at the novelty of it, all the while I was thinking “No way was this going to work.”

My friend assured me it would — and also pointed out its lovely diamond (yeah, right!) accent.

Well, after she hooked it on the edge of our table, she added both bags and there they sat for the duration of our meal.

I did a search online just before. Call it a purse hanger, a purse hook or the like, and you’ll be amazed at the choices.

I certainly was, which made me wonder: Do you use one? Would you ever?

Those have been around for ages and they work great. This way you don’t have to put your bags on the floor or on your lap

I love the purse hooks and I can’t live without one because I hate putting my handbags on the yucky floor, yikes! If I don’t have an extra chair or place to put my bags in a restaurant or cafe, I always use a purse hanger to hold my bag and they are fantastic!

I bought my handbag hooks from PurseSitter and they have a fabulous range of really cute and adorable patterns. They ship worldwide and if anyone wants to check it out, the website is http://www.PurseSitter.com

Thanks for the comments, Kathy and Susan.

I had never seen one “in real life”- and was really surprised that it worked, to be honest.

Susan- thanks for the tip on one of the places to buy them- they look like they have a nice selection… I found lots of other places that sell them, too.

No more grunge on the bottom of those bags!
