More Radko news

Earlier this afternoon I wrote about a new book on Radko ornaments, as Christopher Radko’s company is based in Tarrytown.

Well, I just heard from the company that its annual Radko Sample Sale is set for this weekend.

Good news for collectors, to be sure.

The sale will feature discounts of up to 75 percent off the regular retail price of all holiday merchandise.

That means great savings on glass ornaments, cookie jars, snowglobes, light sets, holiday figurines, showroom samples and holiday tabletop items.

Doors open at 10 a.m. Friday and close at 6 p.m., with sale hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

It all happens at the Christopher Radko warehouse at 828 S. Broadway in Tarrytown. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.

For more information, call 800-71-Radko.

I have not been to a sale since they moved the warehouse out of Elmsford, but I think I am going to check it out. I got an email last week, but it was all messed up.

I was surprised about this one, too. I thought they weren’t having them anymore.

I hear they are great – so hope you do well.

I have gone to the Radko Warehouse sales in Elmsford before. How do I get information regarding the sales in Tarrytown now. I would love to go to the sales again.

  4. Mary Shustack

I have asked the Radko people to alert me to any local sales/events, which I’ll be sure to pass along.

I was looking through the websites, and came to this one. I have collected Radko for years. Afriend of mine took me to a warehouse sale somewhere in NY a couple of years ago. She use to get a card in the mail but does not anymore. I love his ornaments etc. Do you know if there is a sale this year, and where it will be. Thanks so much

Thanks for visiting the blog, Barbara.

I will check in with the Radko people and see if there is anything in the works.

As of yet, I haven’t been notified of any planned warehouse sales.

    Hi Mary,
Love your blog…I am also wondering about the Radko sale this year and when it might be. I’ve been to several of the Elmsford sales and they were so fun! And of course the ornies are awesome, I am a die-hard Radko-nut.
Thanks for any info on finding out about this year’s sale.

Thanks, Rose. I have yet to hear back from the Radko reps regarding any local sales events. Soon as I hear, I’ll be putting up the details.

Hello to anyone catching up on blog postings- check out today’s entry (Sept. 24) for a “glimmer of hope” — I have heard there will be a sale in Tarrytown later this year, with details still being firmed up. – Mary

    Hi Mary –
Any news on the Radko sale yet? XMAS is fast approaching!

The last I’ve heard (as mentioned in the Oct. 15 posting) is that this year’s sale will now be early December.

Soon as the dates are confirmed, I’ll get the word out.

    Thanks for checking in.

    Die hard Radko fan….

    Hello Susan-
I’ve not heard of the sample sale at the southern center—but I can’t imagine they wouldn’t do something like that.

And yes, there is to be a Tarrytown sale this year- most likely in early December, though the dates/venue are still to be confirmed by the Radko people.

I will be posting as soon as they release the info., since I know how many of you are waiting.

Hi Mary, just found you & I am so happy. I will go to the Radko sale. What happened to the warehouse sales near Westchester medical Center? I went to 4 of those. I also heard a terrible rumor that Christopher had to sell his company. Tell me it isn’t so. I have been collecting his ornaments for about 20 years!!!!!!! Thanks Valerie

Hi Mary again, I guess I should have read all the letters above mine before writting you, OPPS !!!! Glad to see I am not the only sale nut, so if you know, Please just let me know if he still owes his company. I sure hope so, I had the pleasure of meeting him a few years back & he is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Again, Thanks Valerie

Can anyone tell me what a sample sale is like. I have been to a warehouse sale and the prices were great. Is there a lot of stock at a sample sale. Thanks,

The company left its Elmsford offices awhile ago, moving a business office to Tarrytown and its warehouses down south.
There has been a lot reported in the business press about the management/ownership of Radko- I’ve not covered that story, but sure you could get more details online.

I’ve not been to this sale before- but the Radko people welcome input/questions- I’ve put the link on the last post related to the sale.

Hi, Neat post. There is a problem with your web site in internet explorer, would check this… IE still is the market leader and a big portion of people will miss your excellent writing due to this problem.
