Something ‘About’ this shop

There are some shops that you visit time and time again, a bit of a routine.
You stop by every time you’re “in town.”
For residents of Montrose, that’s probably how it is when it comes to About Face of Westchester.
The boutique is on a little street right near the post office and a deli.

For other shoppers, though, it’s more likely a destination.
But I have to say, I made the trip up there this morning — and I’m definitely going back.
It’s going to be our “Shop of the Week” for next Thursday… but I just wanted to give you a bit of a sneak peek if you’ve not been there before.
I had heard from a friend that it is a bit of “city” shopping up here. I’d have to agree.
There’s a lot of attitude here — and it’s decidedly feminine.
Step in the door to be hit with a burst of femininity. It’s the pink walls and the gilded mirrors, the velvet couches and the pocketbooks, the earrings and makeup:

That’s a quick look around. I have to say, I found the prices to be really fair (saw loads of earrings for less than $20 so you know I was happy!)
And here’s Patricia DiPaolo, one of the owners, who gave me a bit of a tour.

She was also telling me the shop does makeup for customers, for special events and the like.
As I said, quite a destination.
Be sure to check out the story next week. Til then, feel free to stop by About Face of Westchester at 7 Kings Ferry Road. Call 914-736-7772.

Just a quick note- the story on About Face is now set to run in The Journal News- and on LoHud.com- on Saturday, March 8. Be sure to take a look. Thanks!
