A bit of a preview

I had the chance to attend the Architectural Digest Home Design Show earlier today.
It was the “to the trade” and media-preview day, with doors first opening on Pier 94 in Manhattan.

It’s a great place to get a look at trends in the world of home and design — and just a fun day to see all kinds of cool things. You know, the stuff you dream of decorating with, like these funky couches and pillows from Roche Bobois Paris:

It’s also a great place to touch base with some locals — and meet new people that we hope to write more about down the line.
I’ll have more postings on the show tomorrow — with plenty of details and photos of all I saw — but I just wanted to leave you with these few images.
This is the booth of John Stone, a brand new company based in Piermont:

and this was a glimpse of the glass created by Cold Spring artist Barbara Galazzo:

As you can see, it’s a pretty exciting show.
Check back for more from the show — but if you’re really intrigued, why not attend?
It’s open to the public tomorrow through Sunday. Pier 94’s one of the Passenger Ship Terminal piers along the Hudson, parallel to 12th Avenue (at 55th Street).
