A great thing about attending the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, which I did at Pier 94 in Manhattan yesterday, is uncovering a new story.
Last year, it was a thrill to meet Cortandt Manor’s Dan Lehmeier, who was formally debuting the furniture he creates through Casselwood Creations. We had a great chat and soon after the show I found myself in his incredible home/workshop/studio doing a feature on him.
Hoping to do the same with Barbara Galazzo, a Cold Spring glass artist I met this time around.
She told me she’s been creating these lovely works for some 12 years out of her own home/studio in the heart of Cold Spring.
The company’s called, naturally enough, Galazzo Glass.
Her booth was a burst of color — and I really enjoyed meeting her and hearing about the art and craft shows she’s exhibited at and how her style has evolved.
Here’s a look at her booth, which was set in the “Made” section of the show:

I’m looking forward to hearing more of her story — and sharing it through a feature in our paper.
Check back for a bit more from the show.

Quick update- I was able to meet up with Barbara Galazzo- toured her studio this past week- and we’ll be running a story on her this coming week, most likely on May 1.
