Mary Shustack shops around

Go, team, go

March

Even those who don’t closely follow sports couldn’t have missed how actor/comic Billy Crystal made a spring-training splash with his beloved New York Yankees this week.

I was thinking of how excited he must have been when I was wandering around Fanwear this morning.

The shop, in Bedford Hills, is jam-packed with not only Yankees, Mets and all kinds of other baseball apparel and related accessories, but officially licensed merchandise from all the pro sports (football, hockey, basketball).

I’m putting the spotlight on Fanwear in my new “Shop of the Week” feature this coming Thursday, but here’s a sneak peek.

I got a quick tour from Bob and Robin Litwin, who have owned this independent shop for the past 10 years.

Here’s a look around. In addition to the team jerseys and T-shirts, the shop features accessories ranging from watches to caps. There are also pennants, posters and keychains.

Just take a look:

The shop also has a really extensive collection of both Under Armour “performance wear” and the more casual selections of from the Life is good line.

These two designs from the latter caught my eye:

The store gets plenty of locals but also sells to customers around the world thanks to its really detailed Web site.

Check the site out — or stop by in person:
