Island hopping…

Just wanted to drop a friendly reminder.
Tomorrow is the first day for the Island Imports warehouse sale in Hawthorne.
A favorite of mine, I was happy to include the event as part of a story I wrote recently about warehouse sales in our area.
When visiting the Island headquarters for that piece,
my friend and colleague Mark Vergari took some photos of the set-up, which was just kicking into high gear — so here’s just a quick little peek of what the sale will be featuring:

And here’s Island’s Henrietta Porter, who runs the warehouse. Her son, Harry Haslett, is the company designer who travels the world for these great finds.

It’s just a couple of pictures — but they at least give you an idea of what will be on hand.
The prices, I am sure, you will love. I don’t think anything’s more than $20 — and you’ll be amazed at what $10, even $5, will get you.
The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow and Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Then it continues from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 17 and 18 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 19.
The Island Imports warehouse is at 5F West Cross Street in Hawthorne.
Look for the signs, such as this one posted for this first weekend:

I just got back from shopping at this WONDERFUL sale! I picked up some gorgeous microfiber bags ($15) and beautiful scarves – like the ones in the photo – which will make great Mother’s Day gifts. And the jewelry is just amazingly pretty. I had a hard time deciding on just one ring. I’m an earring addict and the selection here helped fuel my addiction!
Thank you, Mary, for this fantastic find!

Glad you had fun—I’m a big fan myself, in case you couldn’t tell!
