Mary Shustack shops around

Also for mom…

I can still remember the beautiful and unusual gifts and accessories I saw when I visited Parviz Batliwala for a story a little more than a year ago.

The Port Chester woman runs Echo Exclusive Designs Handcrafted in India, a company through which she imports accessories, home goods and gifts from her native country.

She sells these both online and through a home-based showroom, which is traditionally open by appointment.

In time for Mother’s Day, though, Batliwala has let me know that she’s having another of her Open House events — this next one will be Saturday.

Shoppers are invited to browse away, selecting from her spring and summer finds. The merchandise will include jackets, bags, scarves, pillows, table linens and more.

For details, contact Batliwala by calling 914-935-0053 or sending an e-mail to info@echohandmade.com.
