Mary Shustack shops around

Rain, rain go away…

April
29

Anyone else hoping for better weather as the week goes on?

I really don’t mind the rain — it’s just that I’d prefer it be a bit dry on Friday.

That’s when I’m going to be checking out Spring Crafts at Lyndhurst, working on an “opening-day” report for this ol’ blog.

I did the same last May, when I stopped by the first morning of the show that each spring and fall draws more than 300 craft artists from around the country to the Tarrytown estate grounds.

And of course, a highlight is stopping by to chat with our local exhibitors to see what they are all up to.

I have a story set to run in the paper (and here on LoHud.com) on Thursday, which will give you all the details of this weekend’s edition.

As part of that, I spoke with artist Susan Obrant of Cortlandt Manor. I can’t wait to see her unusual crocheted creations in person.

So… look for my story — and check back here on Friday for a report from the show.

Hopefully, one that’s not all wet!
