Feeling Lucky?

May
23

Ever wonder what goes on in a kid’s mind?

Lucky Brand does.

The company best known for its jeans — but also produces sportswear, knits, outerwear, T-shirts and a full line of children’s clothing — is running a contest for kids.

And your young ones can enter at the Lucky Kid store in The Westchester in White Plains.

Starting May 30, the chain is inviting kids between the ages of 5 and 12 to stop by and pick up an entry.

They can fill it out in the store, basically drawing something that explains “What Makes Me a Lucky Kid.”

The organizers expect illustrations of everything from drum sets to summer vacations to be submitted.

The store will take care of forwarding the entry to its corporate headquarters, where Lucky Brand co-founders Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman will choose 12 “Lucky” winners across the country.

The winning drawings will be turned into holiday greeting cards and sold in the Lucky stores.

Each winner will then receive a $50 Lucky Kid gift card, a box of cards featuring his or her winning design. The winning designs will also be displayed in the store windows during October and November.

All proceeds from the sale of the greeting cards will go towards The Lucky Brand Foundation, a children’s charitable organization.

For more details, including the complete rules, stop by Lucky Kids, on the second floor of the mall.

You can also reach the store at 914-288-8419.
