Mary Shustack shops around

Buy a little, help a lot

Ever feel guilty when you go shopping?

Feel you’ve bought too much for yourself, etc.

Well, there’s an event going on this afternoon (and tomorrow) that will help put those feelings to rest.

The 13th annual Designer Clothing and Accessories Sale, a benefit for the Rockland Family Shelter, is being held in Nyack.

I missed last year’s sale, but when I went in 2006, I was amazed at the variety – and the prices.

All the clothing and accessories are donated. You will pay a price that is nothing near the suggested retails — sometimes up to 75 percent less — and the proceeds benefit the work of the organization.

Talk about win-win!

Stop by from 4 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center Studio, which has its entrance on North Franklin Street.

There will be “famous-maker” fashions for women, children and men.

Cash, checks and major credit cards are accepted.

For more details, call the shelter at 845-634-3391.
