Mary Shustack shops around

Fun!

June
24

I was in Katonah earlier this afternoon, doing some reporting for a couple of stories.

I stopped in the Charles Department Store, which I’ve written about a few times before.

This time, I was in search of items for a feature story about hosting a backyard party.

I knew this shop wouldn’t fail me — and I was right.

How fun are these plates? They are part of the Confetti collection by Zak! Designs, a grouping of recycled melamine tabletop items.

These plates are $7.99. There were also platters ($15.99), salt-and-pepper shakers ($7.99) and even bowls of varying sizes.

Look for the story next week — but if you can’t wait to get your hands on these, the Charles Department Store is at 113 Katonah Ave. Call 914-232-5200.
