Talk about perfect timing!
I’ve just heard from Casafina that its next holiday warehouse sale is set for early December.
Not only can you pick up ceramic tabletop goods for entertaining your guests — but even some great finds for gifts.
Promise a more detailed posting when the sale gets closer.
For now, keep in mind the event will be Dec. 1-7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Sunday).
And even better — this time around, items will be marked down 50 percent less than usual.
The warehouse is in the Orchard Ridge Corporate Park, at 301 Fields Lane in Brewster.
For details, call 845-277-5700.

An e-mail full of news has arrived from Szent & Company.
You might remember that I visited the Larchmont shop back in April — how fun.
And there are so many new things going on there, I’m going to let the info. from Barbara Truesdale and Janet Robinson speak for itself:

It’s the season for fairs, bazaars and boutiques.
If you love ceramics, you might want to add this one to your calendar.
The Hudson River Potters will hold a Show and Sale of sculptural clay art and functional pottery Nov. 7-9.
These hand-made gifts will be featured during the event at the Briarcliff Congregational Church, at the corner of Pleasantville Road and South State Road.
An artists’ reception will open the event, from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 7, with regular show hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8 and 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 9.
Admission is free.
Get a jump on that holiday shopping!

I had a good feeling about Beehive Co-op even before I made my first visit this past week.

I was really intrigued by the “shop local” concept behind the new Mount Kisco store.
It’s a clever spin on the “eat local” movement so popularized by farmers’ markets and organic-food options. Read more of this entry »

Thursday’s the day the Space.NK Apothecary opens in White Plains.
All you beauty fans will want to head to Bloomingdale’s to check it out.
The specialty boutique within the department store — based on Nicky Kinnaird’s vision; she’s the founder and creative director of the company — is sure to be a wow.
Hoping to get there soon.
Let me know what you think when you go.

I’ve had readers asking, and I finally have all the details, which I’m happy to pass along.
There will indeed be a Two’s Company Warehouse Sale in Elmsford — and it’s set for Nov. 7-9.

Some warehouse sales are so good they just go on and on.
If you remember reading last week, I gave you a preview of the latest sale at the Hawthorne headquarters of Island Imports, which includes Island Designs by Harry Haslett and the Christian Livingston Collection.
The sale’s first weekend has passed — but if you didn’t already scoop up some bags, jewelry and scarves, you’re in luck.

If your Saturdays are filled with rushing around like a fiend, trying to get all the errands done that you don’t have time to do during the week, then I have something that just might interest you.
Yes, that was a really long sentence.
But didn’t it make you feel how some Saturdays do?
Anyway… this weekend, consider setting some time aside to pamper yourself.

There are some pretty funky mats made out of flip-flop remnants at Field.

The Larchmont shop also carries richly scented candles hand-made by The Soap & Paper Factory in Tappan,

If you like jewelry (and food) — how’s that for a great combination? — you might want to make plans to head up to Somers this Thursday evening.
I’ve heard from Ginny and Ken Ryan of Somers Custom Framing and the Gift Shop at Somers Custom Framing.
