Jewelry, made here

December
18

It was back in September of 2006 when I first met Yvette Jones.

She invited me to her home in Elmsford to give me a glimpse into her jewelrymaking, and I featured her here on the blog.

Since then, she’s been sending me updates here and there about shows where she showcases and sells her work.

I was happy to hear from her a few weeks ago — and with all that’s been going on this month, didn’t have the chance to get up a “proper” blog on her work.

I wanted to wait until I had the time — and I think you’ll agree, it was worth it.

Her work has advanced so much since I first saw it. It was distinctive then, but somehow, she’s taken it even further.

I’m going to let the pieces speak for themselves — and scroll down to the end, to find out how to contact Jones and perhaps order up some of her jewelry for yourself.

She’ll also be at the wedding expo Jan. 31 at the County Center in White Plains.

It’s the perfect excuse to “shop local.”

This was the first “new” piece I opened (from her e-mail) — and I was hooked.

It’s an Amazonite nugget bracelet ($55):

What I also like about the work is that she features lots of styles in silver tones. (So many jewelry designers only stick to gold, which I just don’t happen to wear).

This is a pair of chandelier blue simulated pearl and crystal dangle earrings ($38):

This is her Carnelian and crystal necklace ($65):

And how fun are these little chocolate gold earrings ($45)?

These are garnet and simulated pearl dangle earrings ($42):

This is the marcasite and simulated pearl necklace with organza bowtie ($45):

This is the rhinestone lariat and aquamarine briolette teardrop necklace ($75):

This glimmering piece is the Swarovski crystal box-stitched bracelet in silver ($42):

And these — wow — Swarovski crystal silver jet curved earrings ($45):

For the more traditional, perhaps — sterling silver dangle hoop earrings ($32):

And these are dark-and-light green Swarovski crystal box stitched ear threaders ($38):

This is the Swarovski crystal silver jet bangle bracelet ($95):

And finally, the show-stopping two-stranded crystal necklace ($150):

That’s just a sampling of Jones’ work. Nice, right?

She’s taking orders by calling 914-450-3046.
