Doing good

I just got a year-end update from Two’s Company, the home and personal accessories company that I’ve featured here before.
Check it out:
” Two’s Company, a family owned gift and decorative accessory industry leader, celebrates its 40th anniversary beginning this January.
In recognition of such a milestone, Two’s Company kicked it off by hosting a Warehouse Sale from Friday, November 21 thru Sunday, November 23, 2008, to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southern NY Chapter.
The doors opened up at 11am and the pitter-patter of feet quickly filled the warehouse in search of that perfect gift as well as the possibility of a unique piece of decor for the house.
No matter what the reason was, there were excellent bargains and no one lost sight of the fact that a portion of the proceeds were going to a worthwhile cause they were supporting.
The sale raised more than $10,000 to help thousands of people living with MS and their families in Westchester Rockland, Putnam Orange and Sullivan Counties.
“The MS Sale was a great success,” says Tom Gottlieb, President of Two’s Company, Inc. “We can make a difference and have done so with this event.”
For many people living with MS, the disease is just one challenge. We must work together to break down barriers to care, improve access to quality health services, and make MS therapies more affordable.
Two’s headquarters are in Elmsford, NY, a suburb of New York City 40 minutes from Manhattan. As in 1969, we remain today a family business committed to excellence and offering relevancy in a rapidly changing market. For more information, visit us at www.twoscompany.com.”

You probably read about the warehouse sale here — glad to hear it went so well, and happy 40th, Two’s Company.
