Mary Shustack shops around

A bit of sparkle

May
13

I have yet to “switch over” my closet, finally putting away the winter clothes and bringing out the spring/summer.

I know, it’s getting late — but these recent chilly mornings (and last week’s rain) has had me grabbing for a few sweaters and the like.

I have, though, felt the urge to wear sandals — that hint of warmer air gets you, right? — which means flip-flop season can’t be far behind.

I’m not a year-round flip-flop wearer, but every time I see one of the designs from Walking on Roses, I think that I could easily become one.

Walking on Roses is a Mahopac-based company headed up by Gail Fiero and her daughter, Marlyse Minnich.

They feature a really wide array of styles — and their flip-flops are incredibly comfortable.

And I have to thank Fiero for keeping us in the loop, sending me an update on the latest addition to the line.

As she says in the promotional blurb: “Roses and beads… oh my. Add some sparkle to your step with our delightful Over the Rainbow flip flop.”

Here it is —

You can buy this style ($36), see all the others — or even design your own pair — when you visit the Walking on Roses site (linked above).
