Mary Shustack shops around

A new blog to check out

June
30

Over the years, I’ve written a few times about Susan Stillman.

She’s a White Plains-based artist who specializes in home portraits.

These incredibly accurate and detailed works — she’s shown me numerous photographs compared to final works — are often given to mark milestone occasions like first-home purchases, anniversaries and the like.

The last time we worked together, Stillman shared the story of a portrait she did for a family who lost their longtime home to Hurricane Katrina… it was a moving story.

Well, Stillman is still doing the work — and has launched her own blog to mark the 20th anniversary of this aspect of her work, Home Portraits.

I look forward to checking in more often with Stillman and reading her updates — the blog can be found by clicking here, or searching on the site, linked above.

And to Stillman, congrats on 20 years of helping people preserve their memories.
