Weekend events

There’s a real handful of markets, festivals and outdoor shows set for this weekend.

Here are just a few you might want to keep in mind, a couple of which I’ve written up to be featured in our LoHud Weekend magazine on Thursday.

Saturday in South Salem/Vista — Saturday marks the return of the Antiques in the Church Yard sale. The 17th edition presents up to 120 dealers on the grounds of Stevens Memorial United Methodist Church. Shop for everything from vintage linens and toys to furniture, pottery, jewelry and paintings. A “Grandma’s Attic” section will feature donated items sold to benefit the church. The show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $7, free for those under 13. An “all-you-can-eat” pancake breakfast, $6 for adults, $4 for children, will run from 9 to 11 a.m. The church is on Shady Lane at Route 123 on the South Salem/Vista border. Call 914-273-4667 (914-589-1355 during show hours) or visit Cord Shows Ltd.

Saturday in Pound Ridge — The Antiques & Farmers Holiday Outdoor Markets in the business district of Pound Ridge continue Saturday with events planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will feature a barbecued lunch. Admission is free. For more details, call manager Joanna Nevins at 914-764-4297. (And keep in mind, the town continues the 2nd Sunday Antiques Market; next one is July 12. And the town-wide yard sales will run July 10-12.

Saturday/Sunday in Stormville — The next edition of the famed Stormville Airport Antique Show & Flea Market, held on the grounds of an old airport in Dutchess County’s Stormville, is set for Saturday and Sunday. It’s held dawn to dusk, with free admission and parking. I went to the last one, in May, and here are a few of my photos:

And finally,

Sunday in Cold Spring —Antiques, art and crafts will be sold by some 75 exhibitors when the inaugural Cold Spring River Festival comes to Mayor’s Park on Sunday. Expect furniture old and new, along with cast-iron garden accessories, designer jewelry and handmade soaps. The show will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $4, free for children. The park is on Fair Street; a free shuttle bus will run throughout the village to the show site. Call 845-265-4414 or visit the Cold Spring River Festival site.
