Sweet, sweet scents

July
23

Last night I got home after a long day, really kind of dragging.

Before I had left the office, though, I remembered to grab the sample products I had received earlier this week from Lilah Living.

And I’m glad I did.

As I started to unwind, I spritzed the room with some of Lilah’s Rose Petal Room & Linen Mist… so sweet and delicate.

Later, I lit the Rose Petal Pure Soy Candle, which drenched the room in a rich, rich scent.

I’m not going to say that all of a sudden I was “cured” — I still felt tired but my mood certainly perked up.

Rose is one of my favorite scents, so I’m sure that helped, but I was still impressed by the rich (but not overwhelming) quality of the Lilah Living products.

Lilah Living, if you’ve not yet heard, is a company founded by Leia Ward, who recently moved to Katonah.

(Those designing women of AprilMarin, the custom-clothing line based in White Plains actually sent her my way — thanks April and Marin!)

She has begun her own luxury line of eco-friendly home and bath products, offering items “made with all natural and organic ingredients to ensure safety for the environment, your health & your home.”

Options range from sea-salt scrubs to “energize and exfoliate” to those candles and room sprays.

All are made in the USA, with elegantly understated packaging adding to the appeal.

Sold online, the products range from $12 for the mists up to $38 for the 14-ounce soy candles.

I loved the rose petal, to be sure but you might like some of the other scents, as well.

These include:

Aroma Descriptions

Apple Cinnamon
A warm blend of fresh apples, cinnamon and clove with a touch of vanilla spice.  Warm & Inviting

Eucalyptus & Spearmint
The perfect blend of relaxing spearmint, cedar, peppermint and eucalyptus to relieve stress and tension.  Eucalyptus clears the senses to put your mind at ease. Stress Reliever

Fresh Linen
Crisp aroma of cotton and fresh laundry. Summery and Clean

Juniper Breeze
The perfect blend of juniper, aloe and jasmine with a touch of crisp apples and flowers.  Fresh and Beachy

Lavender
An intense lavender with a soft woodsy clary sage and a hint of rosemary to ease you mind. Calming

Oatmeal Milk & Honey
A blend of oatmeal, milk bath, vanilla and almond with a touch of musk. Warm and Sweet

Rose Petal
A perfect fresh floral aroma of rose petals. Lively

Sweet Vanilla
An inviting sweet blend of vanilla, nutmeg and sugar.  Comforting and Sweet

Signature Aroma
A day at the spa. Fresh mint sprigs and rosemary blend with a hint of cedar wood, patchouli and cassia to wash away a day of stress. An instant escape. Invigorating and Minty

And in keeping with the line’s approach, a page on the Web site is dedicated to “Recycle,” where customers are encouraged to recycle the candle glasses after use.

Next up for me is trying the juniper breeze candle, maybe even the rosemary mint sea salt scrub…

And knowing I’m helping the environment while enjoying this bit of pampering can only add to the experience.

Have you tried any of Lilah Living’s products? Love to hear what you thought.
