Gili Zilca has sent me an update about Luisa New York, her Pleasantville shop that’s filled with all-natural, hand-made skin-care products.
First up, Zilca is now on a summer schedule, so has adjusted her hours to:
Noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays,
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays,
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and
10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays.
Stop by to take advantage of the summer promotions, including “Buy One Soap, Get One Half Off.”

She also has Pure Aloe-Vera Gel ($4) which relaxes the skin from sunburns and a lotion stick, also $4, which offers an easy way to apply moisture to dry skin.
Zilca also offers a tip for this time of year:
“Exfoliate daily. Use soap that contains an exfoliant like fruit seeds, or a natural delicate scrub made of natural sugar and nourishing oils that keeps the skin hydrated. Exfoliating will remove dead skin cells resulting in more delicate and smooth skin.”
