Paging through nostalgia

May

Of the books that have come across my desk recently, I began to realize at least a few of them had a theme going.

And it’s nostalgia.

And if you know me, you know I’m loving that.

The books are different in topic, to be sure, but they each serve to put a spotlight on a different way of life.

By the basket

May
6

As you can imagine, we’re flooded with press releases and bids for coverage of gift ideas for Mother’s Day.

My colleague Ted Mann passed along one such release, which I’d like to pass along to you.

Pookie & Bella is a Valley Cottage-based creator of gift baskets, many of which seem pretty ideal for Mother’s Day gifts.

Spend some time on the Web site, and you just might find the perfect one.

The company’s at 491 Kings Highway. Call them at 845-290-5205.

The event continues through May 16.
